How and Why I Created My Buisness and Who Where My Biggest Insperation/Supporters

When I was young my mom was my biggest inspiration. She was always home with me and my sister running her Etsy shop. Money was always tight but we never went without food, we had a roof over our head and clothes on our back.

Here's why she is an inspiration, despite struggling to find a 9-5 job she found ways to support the three of us and was always there for us when we needed her. She went to all of our sporting events, cheered us on, and took us on adventures when the weather was nice. We didn't have fancy things but what we did have was a mom that gave us her world, filled it with bright colors and endless possibilities to become our best selves. She taught us many life skills and how to love with open hearts, laugh when we’re down, and always look on the brighter end of things. Needless to say, she's my sister and I’s best friend and biggest supporter in this world.

My biggest goal in life is despite it all to give my kids a world she gave us. I want to be able to go to my kid's sporting events, cheer them on early on a Saturday morning, and be their best friend the way she was mine.

Working a 9-5 where I was miserable, was not the life I wanted to be in. One day while truly at my breaking point my husband asked me if the job I currently had wasn't what I wanted any more than what did I want?

.... What did I want?

Looking back at my childhood and how much I admired my mom for all that she did to give us the best life she could I know I wanted to be my boss. But doing what?

My husband and I had just bought our first house before this conversation. All the packing, unpacking, setting up, and organizing our belongings was relaxing for me. It reminded me of when I was a child and re-arranging and re-organizing my bedroom was fun for me. Could I seriously get paid to organize people's belongings? Why not right? After some research, I found a 6-week college course to become a Certified Professional Organizer. I sent the link to my husband so I don't lose it and spent the next 3 hours talking about all the things I had read and all the things I would love about running my business.

The next thing I knew I got an email from that exact college saying payment was submitted and my course list will be emailed to me in a few days.

WHAT!!!!!!!!

While I wasn't paying attention my husband signed me up and paid for the spring semester for me. He told me that seeing the light come back in my eyes and the pure excitement that I had at just the thought of doing this made me happy that he wasn't going to let me sit and think myself away from the ledge. He told me I needed to face my fear and take the leap into something new.

My Husband and my Mother have impacted my life and have always been my biggest fans. Their faith in me pushed me past my fears and carried me through all of the stressors of opening and running a business.
